Outsourcing your app: Freelancing websites for finding mobile app developers

Outsourcing your app: Freelancing websites for finding mobile app developers
If you are not a programmer, learning how to code your own app will take too long and it will take even longer to produce high quality results. Therefore you either need to find a programmer to team up with you and form a partnership, or get a freelancer to program and/or design your app. These freelancing websites allow you to post your project for free and receive offers from both mobile app development companies and mobile app developer freelancers, you don't have to accept an offer if you are not completely satisfied.

Tips for hiring Programmers and Designers

1) Create a job description and post it on all relevant platforms. It's free to post jobs on outsourcing sites, it only takes a few minutes if you copy paste, and you will get more bids from programmers this way. Be as specific as possible, without revealing crucial information about your idea. Don't forget to mention the platforms that the app will be on (iOS, Android, etc) and any special requirements. Use fixed price contracts.

2) Filter applicants. Shortlist the applicants that are withing your budget, have high ratings from other users, and have portfolios that you admire.

3) Communicate with shortlisted applicants. Give them more information and ask them to give you a final offer. Ask them how long it is going to take to complete the job. Some applicants may not reply, just rule them out.

4) Hire. By now you should have an idea of how skilled, how fast and how affordable each applicant is. You will also know how fluent their English is. Hire the freelancer of your choice and set milestones.
